About the project

Curtis York recognises that the 9-5 work method is dissolving and the form of the future professional is changing. 19 Cubitt St intends to address those changes with architecture designed to enhance the physical, mental and social performance of occupants. Sure, it’s a bold claim but it’s not one we make lightly. Architecture for the workplace is a very progressive typology that has tracked new technologies and new techniques which enable buildings to help us all feel better at work.

19 Cubitt presents a new-age outcome to achieve the future workplace, where through designed instruments embedded into the building, the operation of the workplace is optimized. Instead of mimicking a brick warehouse of the past, we have designed a building where its function and purpose is in the future. A connection to the natural environment, thermal comfort and a flexible ground floor space that can involve community style events all form part of the ‘human experience’ unique to this building. We believe it’s these elements that will not just set 19 Cubitt St apart, but well above its predecessors.
